How it works
How to rent a billboard in Tashkent: four steps
Choosing sites
A city, a format, a district or specific addresses on the map. What you tick goes into a list.
Request
Send us the list and your campaign dates. A manager replies during business hours and clarifies the brief.
Quote and hold
We check availability with the board owners and price the quote. If an address is taken, we'll try to negotiate the current advertiser's move off it, and if that doesn't work, find you an equivalent board nearby.
Artwork and launch
We'll tell you the artwork specs, print, and install. After launch we send a placement report.
Questions
Frequently asked questions about advertising in Tashkent
Faces in the catalogue: 256. Addresses under them: 242. Owners: 8. Every face comes with an exact address, plus a photo and a rate-card price where the owner has published them.
We confirm availability with the owner of the structure, and that is a rule rather than a courtesy: an advertising site passport is issued to a named holder and cannot be transferred to another entrepreneur (articles 24 and 25 of act No. ZRU-776). In Tashkent the site and its owner are tied together.
Formats in the catalogue: 9. The largest group is Billboards, and it holds 187. The carriers themselves are named in the advertising act one by one — pylons, portable structures, prismatrons, billboards, video screens and electronic displays. Article 23 allows them:
- on land plots;
- on the roofs, facades and walls of buildings;
- on bridges and overpasses;
- at public transport stops;
- on street furniture — car parks, columns and payphone booths.
Requirements differ by carrier: Cabinet of Ministers decree No. 104 gives chapters of its own to bridge railings, rooftop structures, gable-wall banners, glazing and projection installations, street furniture and poster boards.
Digital surfaces: 219 of 256. Take a screen when the creative or the schedule has to change mid-campaign, and a printed board when holding one site for the whole term matters more: a printed surface is yours alone for the booking, while a screen shares its slot with the rest of the loop.
The main copy runs in the state language. Article 6 of the advertising act lets you duplicate it in translation and sets that translation's layout as well: horizontally below the Uzbek text, no more than forty per cent of the total advertising area, in a smaller type size. Trademarks and logos may stay in their original language, outside that rule.
The script comes from another act: the advertising act says nothing about the alphabet, while Cabinet of Ministers decree No. 61 of 10 February 2021 requires advertising and announcements to be written in the Latin-script Uzbek alphabet. The Uzbek line belongs in the composition from the start, and that is what we check when we look at the artwork before print.
Closer than 50 metres to an advertising-free zone. The city hokimiyat draws up the list of those zones, and in the capital it takes in the buildings and adjoining land of the Presidential Administration, the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Supreme Court, the Cabinet of Ministers and the hokimiyat itself, along with cultural heritage and religious sites (Cabinet of Ministers decree No. 104, paragraph 8). The city council of people's deputies may shorten or extend that radius.
The act adds outright bans of its own. Article 26 does not allow:
- a structure that projects onto the carriageway;
- advertising on tangible cultural heritage objects;
- advertising on road signs, traffic lights, their supports or any other traffic-control device.
The city is rolling out a design code — one set of requirements for facades and signboards. In the hokimiyat's account of 20 August 2026, the work ran from 11 May to 26 July and covered 3,228 businesses on 56 streets of the capital: 509 of them have already changed their facades and another 2,627 are finishing.
For an advertiser this is about the sign on a facade rather than a free-standing board, but it reaches the board too: specialists from 18 advertising production companies of the city — the contractors who print and mount — were trained on the new requirements.
