We count sides, not structures: one billboard often carries two or more. We'll check your dates against your list before quoting.

Cities

Cities with billboards and screens

The widest choice is in the largest cities, but there are boards in regional capitals and small towns too.

The number on a marker is how many billboards and screens the city has.

Formats

Outdoor advertising formats in Bulgaria

8 formats, and Billboards is the most common.

Prices

What outdoor advertising costs and what drives the price

There is no single national rate card: a billboard on an arterial road and a billboard on a regional bypass are priced differently. Rate-card prices sit in the city catalog, and a manager puts the final quote together in BGN.

Format and size

A city-light in a bus shelter, a billboard at a city exit and a screen in a shopping centre are priced on different scales. Size and design must fit the approved city scheme, and each city has its own.

Place and traffic

Sofia costs more than Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas, and within the city the central boulevards and metro hubs cost more than residential districts.

Digital screen or printed board

A screen is sold as impressions in a loop, and the creative can change mid-campaign. A printed board holds the space for the whole term.

Season

The Black Sea coast is dearer and busier in summer and freer in winter. Sofia and the inland cities are steadier through the year.

The land under the structure

City land gives a longer route to launch than private land, and different lines in the quote. On short lead times the choice tends to shift to structures already standing.

Term and volume

The longer the campaign and the more addresses in the request, the lower the price per space.

How it works

How to rent a billboard: four steps

Four steps from choosing addresses to launch. We'll confirm free dates and terms before anything is signed.

  1. Choosing sites

A city, a format, a district or specific addresses on the map. What you tick goes into a list.

  2. Request

Send us the list and your campaign dates. A manager replies during business hours and clarifies the brief.

  3. Quote and hold

We check availability with the board owners and price the quote. If an address is taken, we'll try to negotiate the current advertiser's move off it, and if that doesn't work, find you an equivalent board nearby.

  4. Artwork and launch

We'll tell you the artwork specs, print, and install. After launch we send a placement report.

Questions

Common questions about advertising in Bulgaria

There is no single price across Bulgaria: the same format costs one thing in the capital and another in a small city. Open the city you need — the rate-card price per month sits right on the board's card where the owner has published one, and that is the ceiling. Send us a list of addresses and dates and we'll quote it with the volume discount applied; where a board carries no price yet, we'll give it separately.

Rules

What can stand between you and the address you want

2 reasons a board can turn out to be unavailable or the artwork can fail approval.

The chief architect approves the scheme

Advertising elements go up on a municipal permit based on a placement scheme approved by the chief architect on the expert council's decision. Each municipality has its own ordinance on top of that, so the set of permitted sites and formats differs between Sofia and a regional centre.

Private and municipal land clear differently

On state and municipal land the permit follows the approved scheme; on private plots and for non-standard structures it follows an individual project with a sketch. The second route takes longer, which matters when the shortlist includes facades and privately owned plots.

If the address you want is taken

A booked board is not a refusal. We take three steps in a row, and the first one is an attempt to free up the exact address you asked for.

  1. We ask the current advertiser

We offer whoever is on the board a site that is just as good. If they agree to move, the address opens up for your campaign. The choice is theirs, so we cannot promise it — but we always ask.

  2. We find a match next door

If they stay, we bring you an equivalent address nearby: the same format, comparable traffic, the neighbouring junction. A replacement reaches your quote only after you have approved it.

  3. We keep the address on watch

The board you wanted stays on our watch list. The moment it frees up we tell you, and you get the first offer.

All of this is part of your manager's work and costs you nothing.
