We count sides, not structures: one billboard often carries two or more. We'll check your dates against your list before quoting.

Cities

Cities with billboards and screens

The widest choice is in the largest cities, but there are boards in regional capitals and small towns too. The biggest are below; the full list is at the end of the page.

Formats

Outdoor advertising formats in Turkey

9 formats, and Billboards is the most common. Each format links through to the city where there are most of them.

Prices

What outdoor advertising costs and what drives the price

There is no single national rate card: a billboard on an arterial road and a billboard on a regional bypass are priced differently. Rate-card prices sit in the city catalogue, and a manager puts the final quote together in TRY.

Format and size

A city-light in a bus shelter, a billboard at a city exit and a large facade structure are priced on different scales. The annual advertising tax is charged per square metre, so size pulls a tax line along with it.

Place and traffic

Istanbul costs more than Ankara, Izmir and Antalya, and within the city the arterial roads and bridges cost more than streets in residential districts.

Digital screen or printed board

A screen is sold as impressions in a loop, and the creative can change mid-campaign. A printed board holds the space for the whole term.

Season

The resort coast is dearer and busier from May to September and freer in winter. Istanbul and Ankara are steadier through the year.

The category comes first

Whole categories never reach the street here, so we check the category before picking addresses. It decides whether the campaign happens at all, and it saves time in clearance.

Term and volume

The longer the campaign and the more addresses in the request, the lower the price per space.

How it works

How to rent a billboard: four steps

Four steps from choosing addresses to launch. We'll confirm free dates and terms before anything is signed.

  1. Choosing sites

A city, a format, a district or specific addresses on the map. What you tick goes into a list.

  2. Request

Send us the list and your campaign dates. A manager replies during business hours and clarifies the brief.

  3. Quote and hold

We check availability with the board owners and price the quote. If an address is taken, we'll try to negotiate the current advertiser's move off it, and if that doesn't work, find you an equivalent board nearby.

  4. Artwork and launch

We'll tell you the artwork specs, print and install. After launch we send a placement report.

Questions

Common questions about advertising in Turkey

Istanbul holds the top of the rate card, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya sit lower, and on the coast the price also moves with the season. The cost of a month's placement is on the surface card, and invoicing is in TRY. Send the addresses and the dates and we will build the quote with volume taken into account.

Rules

What can stand between you and the address you want

Things that can make a board unavailable or stop the artwork being approved.

Alcohol and tobacco: an outright ban

Türkiye prohibits all advertising of alcoholic drinks and tobacco products, in every medium, outdoor included. This is not a time slot or a distance from a school — it is a flat ban, so those campaigns are not planned here at all.

Law No. 4250 (alcohol) and Law No. 4207 (tobacco)checked August 24, 2026

A municipal tax rides on every board

Any advertising inside municipal boundaries carries the ilan ve reklam vergisi: the rate is per square metre, the annual declaration is filed between 1 and 31 January, and a new placement is declared before it goes live. The tax is usually inside the placement price, but it is worth checking as its own line in the quote.

Municipal Revenues Law No. 2464, art. 12 and 15checked August 24, 2026

Main avenues clear separately

Structures go up under the municipality's own regulation, and on the main arteries of large cities they clear through a dedicated department; in Istanbul that is urban design. Rules differ from district to district, so it pays to check the address list before the budget is signed off.

If the address you want is taken

A booked board is not a refusal. We make three moves in a row, and the first one is an attempt to free up the exact address you asked for.

  1. We ask the current advertiser

We offer whoever is on the board a site that is just as good. If they agree to move, the address opens up for your campaign. The choice is theirs, so we cannot promise it — but we always ask.

  2. We find a match next door

If they stay, we bring you an equivalent address nearby: the same format, comparable traffic, the neighbouring junction. A replacement reaches your quote only after you have approved it.

  3. We keep the address on watch

The board you wanted stays on our watch list. The moment it frees up we tell you, and you get the first offer.

All of this is part of your manager's work and costs you nothing.
